| Eighteen year-old Abdul Qadir had been an orphan all his life. He knew nothing of his parents until one day when he received a letter-the first in his life-from a man claiming to be his maternal uncle, Abdul Aziz. Abdul Qadir didn't know whether to believe the letter as it said he was the heir to a vast fortune, stolen from him by treacherous family members, paternal uncle, upon the death of his parents when he was three years-old. His uncle, Abdul Aziz, has gotten his inheritance back from his enemies for him and all Abdul Qadir had to do was come to claim it. But the letter came from a far country. Abdul Qadir had no money. Despite his own doubts, circumstances and the discouragement of those around him, Abdul Qadir set off on a harrowing journey across far country, clinging to the hope that the letter was true. Through many trials, as well as the kindness of strangers, Abdul Qadir found his uncle Abdul Aziz and claimed the fortune which, indeed, was his. Abdul Qadir couldn't contain his gratitude to his uncle, Abdul Aziz, and asked Abdul Aziz why he spent15 years and all his resources for seeking him out. Abdul Aziz told him that his Savior, Jesus the Messiah, gave him the courage to believe that Abdul Qadir was still alive and needed to be found. Abdul Aziz then gave Abdul Qadir another letter from a far country, this one from God: the Injil Muqaddas (New Testament). Within its pages, Abdul Qadir discovered a greater inheritance than his own-the gift of eternal life for anyone who would believe it was for them. |
