GLAD TIDINGS PRODUCTIONS

EXAMPLES OF LOW BUDGET MOVIES

MOVIE BUDGETVIDEO RENTALS
The Graduate $350,000 $50,000,000
Easy Rider $300,000$19,000,000
Friday the 13th $750,000 $17,000,000
Halloween $300,000 $1,500,000
Return of the Seacaucus Seven $60,000 $2,500,000
Working Girls $300,000 $1,500,000
Hollywood Shuffle $100,000 $1,500,000

"Rentals" column refers to gross moneys returned to the distributor, not box office gross, which is the money taken in by the theater. The box office gross can be very impressive figure, since it averages three times the rental figure, but the rentals are more meaningful. Glad Tidings Production company will have a share of the rentals earned by our picture, MUSTAPHA'S SECRET and usually that share will be about 35 percent. In other words, if MUSTAPHA'S SECRET returns $1 million in rentals, then rental company will return to us, Glad Tidings Productions, (our 35% share) that will gross $350,000. And then Glad Tidings Productions will pass on 20% of gross return to investors alone after all are deferments paid. .

If MUSTAPH'S SECRET earns $1 million , you are well on your way of doubling your money - and you can do this inside of two years, from the start of the movie's production to the recoupment of distribution money, if recoupment proceeds according to average industry rates. This is a much larger and faster return than can be gotten from money dropped into "safe" interest-bearing accounts.
